Kanon at Sentosa Resort

Our violinist cum pianist, Sher Maine, mentioned Kanon in the previous blog, and this morning, we performed one of our special versions of Kanon for the march in.

The bride and groom wanted the group to play Kanon where the music was livelier, and our group definitely surprised them with our versatility. It was a fascinatingly livelier Kanon, with pop and jazz infusions. Amongst the guests was someone who had heard us play at another wedding before, and he led a rousing applause for our music!

Today also marked the debut of Miserlou, an arrangement of the piece by Dick Clark. It was arranged to showcase the virtuosity of the violinist, and it was fantastic watching our violinist run his fingers all over the violin in a flurry of precise movements. It was very gratifying indeed!
