A Triumphant Beginning

STRIIIINGS is finally formed! Though my group and I have been performing frequently for various events and weddings over the past ten years, we have been doing so under the auspices of various agents. Tonight, we formally performed under our own group!

There were other firsts tonight. This is our first time performing as a piano quartet. I decided to try this out as I had arranged music for the string quartet, and with a little bit of effort, wrote the piano part out for myself too. It was absolutely rapturous, totally unlike the feeling that I get performing alone as a solo pianist. There was so much energy amongst all of us, and the fact that we were playing favourite pieces of music that I had arranged upon requests from the group members, made it all the more sweeter.

We have great hope for STRIIIINGS. Besides aiming to be the foremost music performing group providing fantastic music and great value for our clients, we hope to help bring together musicians who would enjoy performing in public and making some money in the process. Perhaps we will put together a programme to train and mold musically versatile groups. We have great hopes for our company.

But our immediate goal, right now, is to make STRIIIINGS synonymous with exciting Piano and String Quartet combinations. And we shall succeed.
