Pop Strollers At 55 Cluny Park Road
Tonight's performance at the French Ambassador's residence saw STRIIIINGS performing in a pop style for the first time!
The occasion was the launch of Citroen's C4 and C5 cars graced by H.E Mr. Jean-Paul Reau, and STRIIIINGS was required to provide strolling violinists in a pop style similar to the Bond Girls or Vanessa Mae. We were rather apprehensive at first, but we decided to do it. Strolling musicians, we've done before, but never in a pop style. In the end, it turned out awesome, as we fully utilized the digital stage piano to provide heart thumping percussive drums and a full orchestral sound to provide the backup effects for our strolling violinists. With the reverb effects provided by an extremely effective sound crew through their mixer and wireless equipment, we created a full bodied effect that was pretty near to a pop concert!
All in all, it was a fantastic performance.
