Back to Hilton's Vista
Tonight marked another special milestone for STRIIIINGS, the birth of the violin-cello duet. I took the page, and did everything I always do with my left hand when I play as part of the piano-violin duet on the cello instead, and it turned out pretty effective.
The wedding couple tonight were extremely nice people, full of smiles and laughter. And the icing on the cake? They've found in each other the perfect salsa dancing partner! It was fantastic watching them dance in front of an appreciative audience, myself included, and my feet were aching to do some salsa steps myself.
The groom sang a perfect rendition of an abridged version of La Vie En Rose dedicated to his wife. It was a good thing we've a few versions of La Vie En Rose in different keys, as the original version was a tad too high for him. But all's well end's well, and it was marvellous.
Though it was a bit cramped in our "musician corner" this evening, it was very cozy, and again our group had a great time performing together. There's nothing like rapport building similar to performing music together with great people. And for great people!
